Church is more than just Sunday morning worship. Sunday morning worship service is wonderful, it gives us a chance to be taught about God’s word, to worship together in song and praise, to be spiritually fed. However, when we look at the teachings in the Bible, we see not only stories about the large services where Jesus preached to the masses, but we also see the small group: living life together, sharing meals, asking questions, going deeper into the lessons, and learning what it means to disciple others.
At LBC, we have four Life Groups that meet on different days of the week. Each group is a small group comprised of 6-8 individuals from LBC, a host family, and a facilitator. We encourage group members to invite a guest or two to attend with them. Groups meet every other week, and share a meal together before diving deeper into the sermon from the previous Sunday. While Sunday morning services are more of a lecture style, Life Groups are designed to be more discussion based and we urge everyone in attendance to participate in the conversation.
UPDATE: Our Winter/Spring 2026 Life Groups are officially under way! They will be meeting every other week from February through May. While the groups have started, there is always room for more! In November, we wrapped up our first set of Life Groups and our groups had a wonderful time learning, studying, and doing life together. Coming Winter 2026, we will have a new round of Life Groups kick off. It is our hope that the Fall 2025 Life Groups will branch out to create new Life Groups, to teach and disciple new individuals, who will then go on to create their own Life Groups, going forth and multiplying. We are asking our members to please be in prayer about if God is working in your heart to host one of these groups.
