Our Story

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. – Matthew 5:13-16

Our Mission

  1. Exalt our Savior (Isaiah 25:1, Psalm 99:5)
  2. Evangelize the sinner (Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8)
  3. Equip the saints (Ephesians 4:11)
  4. Enjoy our salvation (Acts 2:41-45)
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” – Matthew 28:18-20

Our History

Lighthouse Baptist Church began as a vision of a few families who had a heart for reaching their community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We met for the first time in a small office building on the first Sunday of July 2005. That morning, we had 42 people to come and pray for God’s direction for the church. We had a wonderful time praising and worshiping our Lord and Savior. God blessed His work and the small office building quickly became overcrowded.

God soon provided us with the location of the former Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church building. We had our first service in our new location on the first Sunday of December 2005. God has continued to bless His work, and we have seen many people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and have seen others grow in their relationship with God.

On September 21, 2008, Lighthouse Baptist Church had its first worship service at the 1140 B.H. Parrish Road address. God truly blessed us with a great church building, but more than that, He blessed us with a wonderful church family.
